Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

At approximately 9:30 a.m., begin the excursion to Cumbemayo.
Along the route, visit:
- Bellavista Viewpoint
- Layzón
- Site Museum
Continue with a walk through the sanctuary and stone forest of Cumbemayo.
You will see the Sacrifice Stone, ancient water channels, rock shelters, and ceremonial altars.
Return to Cajamarca at approximately 2:00 p.m.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., begin the excursion to the Ventanillas de Otuzco, ancient funerary structures carved into the rock.
The excursion also includes:
- Countryside Viewpoint
- Tres Molinos Estate
- Hydrangea Garden
- Los Alpes Farm
At Los Alpes Farm, you will have the opportunity to taste regional dairy products.
Return to Cajamarca at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Later, continue to the bus terminal for the journey from Cajamarca to Trujillo.
Overnight: Overnight bus Cajamarca – Trujillo.
Day 4: Temples of the Sun & Moon – Chan Chan – Huanchaco
Highlight of the day: Explore major archaeological remains of the Moche and Chimú civilizations.
Upon arrival in Trujillo, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., depart toward the traditional Moche countryside.
Visit the Temples of the Sun and Moon, where you will discover important Moche constructions and remarkable polychrome murals.
You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the Temple of the Sun.
The program includes a photo stop featuring representations known as erotic or fertility huacos.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., stop in Trujillo for lunch.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., continue north to visit the ancient City of Chan Chan, including the sector known as the Nik An Palace.
Finish the day with a stop at historic Huanchaco Beach.
Return to Trujillo at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 5: El Brujo – Lady of Cao – Chiclayo
Highlight of the day: Discover one of the principal ceremonial centers of the Chicama Valley and learn about the Lady of Cao.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., depart from Trujillo toward the El Brujo Archaeological Complex.
Visit Huaca Cao, one of the most important ceremonial centers of the Chicama Valley.
During the visit, admire important Moche polychrome murals.
You will also learn about the Lady of Cao, whose burial was discovered at this archaeological complex.
Continue to the Cao Museum to see archaeological objects and learn more about Moche civilization.
Return to Trujillo at approximately 2:40 p.m.
After the excursion, continue toward Chiclayo.

Day 6: Lord of Sipán – Huaca Rajada – Royal Tombs – Brüning Museum

Huaca Rajada – Sipán
Visit the archaeological site where the famous tomb of the Lord of Sipán was discovered.
Explore the archaeological excavation area.
Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum
Continue to Lambayeque to visit the impressive Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum.
The museum exhibits archaeological objects, including gold and silver pieces recovered from elite Moche burials.
Brüning National Archaeological Museum
The itinerary also includes the Brüning Museum, home to collections of art and artifacts from the Lambayeque culture and other societies of northern Peru.
A lunch stop will be made in Lambayeque.

Day 8: Kuélap by Cable Car

Upon arrival in Chachapoyas, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
At approximately 8:00 a.m., begin the excursion toward Kuélap.
Stop at Macro along the mountain route.
Continue to Nuevo Tingo, where you will board the cable car for an approximately 25-minute ride.
Arrive at Malca Pampa and continue toward Kuélap Fortress, located at approximately 3,100 m / 10,171 ft.
Explore different sectors of this ancient site associated with the Chachapoyas culture.
Return by cable car to Nuevo Tingo, where the program includes a lunch stop.
Return to Chachapoyas at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 9: Quiocta Caverns – Karajía Sarcophagi
Highlight of the day: Combine an underground cave experience with one of the Chachapoyas culture’s most extraordinary burial traditions.
At approximately 8:00 a.m., depart toward the Quiocta Caverns.
Enter the cave system to observe natural formations including stalactites and stalagmites.
Time will be available for photographs.
Stop for lunch in Lamud.
Continue to Cruzpata, where you will begin a walk toward the cliff containing the remarkable Karajía Sarcophagi.
These funerary structures belong to the Chachapoyas culture and are notable for their difficult-to-access location on a rocky cliff.
Return to Chachapoyas at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 10: Gocta Waterfall
Highlight of the day: Hike through cloud-forest scenery to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Chachapoyas region.
At approximately 8:00 a.m., depart toward Cocachimba, approximately one hour from Chachapoyas.
Begin an approximately 2-hour hike.
Along the trail, enjoy mountain landscapes and observe local flora and fauna.
Arrive at Gocta Waterfall, listed in the program at approximately 771 meters in height.
Enjoy time at the waterfall before returning on foot to Cocachimba.
The program includes a lunch stop before returning to Chachapoyas.
