Day 2: Lima – Cusco – Free Exploration
Highlight of the day: Arrive in the former capital of the Inca Empire and begin acclimatizing while discovering the historic streets of Cusco.
At the appropriate time, travel to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your selected hotel.
Cusco was once the capital of the Inca Empire and today preserves an extraordinary combination of Inca foundations, colonial architecture, archaeological sites, traditional neighborhoods, and vibrant local culture.
Because Cusco is located at high altitude, we recommend taking the first hours calmly, drinking plenty of water, and allowing your body time to acclimatize.

Today we will explore some of the most important attractions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Pisac
Our first stop will be Pisac.
We will visit the archaeological area and have the opportunity to explore the traditional market, where local artisans offer handicrafts and regional products.
Moray
We will then continue to Moray, famous for its large circular agricultural terraces.
These impressive formations descend into the earth like amphitheaters and are commonly associated with Inca agricultural experimentation and the study of different growing conditions.
Maras Salt Mines
After Moray, we will continue to the nearby Maras Salt Mines.
The mountainside contains thousands of small salt pools fed by naturally salty water.
The site has a long history of salt production and continues to be an important part of the local economy.
Ollantaytambo
After completing the Sacred Valley visits, we will continue to Ollantaytambo.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

Today you will experience one of the most important highlights of your journey: Machu Picchu.
After arriving in Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus for the approximately 25-minute journey to the entrance of the archaeological site.
Guided Visit to Machu Picchu
Your guide will lead you on an approximately 2-hour visit through the assigned circuit within the citadel.
During the tour, you will learn about the architecture, history, engineering, ceremonial areas, agricultural terraces, and other features of this remarkable Inca site.

Day 5: Cusco – Puno – Route of the Sun
Highlight of the day: Travel across the Andes from Cusco to Puno while visiting important cultural and archaeological attractions along the Route of the Sun.
After breakfast at your hotel, you will continue to the bus station to board a tourist bus to Puno.
The journey lasts approximately 10 hours and includes several scheduled stops along the route.
Andahuaylillas
Visit the historic church of Andahuaylillas, commonly known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” because of its richly decorated interior.
Raqchi
Continue to the archaeological complex of Raqchi, an important Inca site associated with the Temple of Wiracocha.
La Raya
Stop at La Raya, one of the highest points along the route between Cusco and Puno.
This area offers panoramic views of the surrounding Andean landscape.
Pukara
The journey also includes a stop in Pukara, an area associated with an important pre-Inca culture of the southern Andes.
Arrival in Puno
Arrival in Puno is expected at approximately 5:00 p.m..

Day 6: Lake Titicaca – Uros & Taquile Islands

Uros Floating Islands
Our first visit will be to the Uros floating islands.
These islands are traditionally constructed using totora reeds and are home to local families who maintain distinctive customs and traditions associated with life on the lake.
During the visit, you will have the opportunity to learn more about their culture, traditional lifestyle, and use of totora.

Taquile Island

At the previously coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and transfer you to Juliaca Airport.
