Terms and Conditions

Dear Travellers,
Thank you very much for choosing INTI SUN TREK PERU!

When making a reservation with us, it is important to fully read and understand the following information:

We operate in regions where standards of accommodation, transport and services might not be to the standard you are used to in your home country. However, we strive with all due care and skill to provide the best services for our tourists possible.

Travelling in Peru

requires flexibility, patience, open-mindedness, a good sense of humor, and understanding that changes may be made without notice due to circumstances beyond our control. By booking any of our tours you agree to any necessary changes that may be required.

In extreme cases

such as riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, disease, disasters, adverse weather conditions, or fire, Inti Sun Trek will not accept any liability for these events and reserves the right to change, postpone, or even cancel the trip if necessary (this is the last option of course).

Strikes in Peru

A popular way for the people in Peru to communicate unhappiness with the government is to strike. This area sees quite a few strikes a year that can sometimes affect the logistics involved in our tours. Most strikes are well organized and planned in advance so the office will have at least a few hours to make arrangements if needed.

Changes for logistics

Often this involves leaving for your trek the night before. Please understand we will do everything we can to get you to and from the trail and will give you the information you need as soon as we have it. We will always get you to and from the trail very safely.

Risks

By booking any of our adventure trips (Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Salkantay, Ausangate, Choquekirau, Lares treks, etc.) you assume the risks associated with them. For these Inti Sun Trek accepts no responsibility.

You must let us know when you book the trek if you have any medical conditions that could affect your ability to do the trek. This information will help us plan the trek for your safety.

Due to the nature of the remote geographic

Location of the trails and the lack of suitable nearby medical facilities along the trails, Inti Sun Trek will not accept any responsibility, either directly or indirectly, for any problems due to your special dietary requirements or medical condition. We suggest that you check with your doctor before booking the trek.

Environmental Impact

We use biodegradable soap and transport all our garbage back to Cusco. Our porters are trained to look after the trail and pick up any waste from other groups as well. We also use environmentally-friendly chemical portable toilets that allow us to pack waste out. We believe in leaving no footprint behind.
