Welcome to Peru! We know how exhausting international flights can be, so upon your arrival in the Peruvian capital, we will make your arrival as smooth and stress-free as possible. Your Inti Sun Trek representative will be waiting for you at Lima Airport, holding a sign with your name, to welcome you and transfer you comfortably to your selected hotel.

After checking in, you can take time to relax, enjoy a refreshing shower, and recover from your journey. If you prefer, you may also explore the nearby areas or enjoy Peru’s world-famous gastronomy with lunch at your hotel or at one of the many excellent local restaurants (meals not included).

Depending on your arrival time, you also have the option to join the Lima City Tour, available daily at 8:30 AM or 2:00 PM. During the tour, you will explore the three stages of Lima: Ancestral, Colonial, and Modern Lima. Highlights include a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana Pyramid, the Historic Center of Lima with its impressive colonial architecture, the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs, and the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.

The tour also includes a visit to the Central Reserve Bank Museum, where you can admire an important collection of pre-Columbian gold, ceramics, and textiles.

Note: The Central Reserve Bank Museum is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

If you prefer not to join the city tour, you can explore Lima at your own pace by visiting the district of Miraflores, one of the city’s most popular tourist areas. You may enjoy a walk through Kennedy Park or go shopping at the famous Larcomar shopping center, located along the Pacific coast.

In the evening, we highly recommend enjoying dinner at Central or Maido, both recognized among the best restaurants in the world by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Due to high demand, advance reservations are highly recommended.

At 4:00 AM  we will pick you up from your hotel and travel 245 kilometers along the Pan-American Highway until we reach Paracas, a tourist destination in the province of Pisco. Along the way, we will make a brief stop in Chincha to use the facilities and/or enjoy a typical local breakfast (optional). We will then continue to Paracas, arriving at approximately 7:45 a.m.

08:00 AM – DEPARTURE TO THE BALLESTAS ISLANDS: We will board a motorized boat and begin our excursion. Along the way, we will observe the famous Candelabro, an immense geoglyph located on the Paracas Peninsula. As we continue offshore, we will observe the rich marine biodiversity of the Ballestas Islands, including guano birds, Peruvian boobies, Guanay cormorants, red-legged cormorants, Inca terns, Peruvian pelicans, Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and, with luck, dolphins. After approximately two hours, we will return to the port and continue with our next excursion, around 10:00 to

10:30 a.m. We will depart for the city of Ica. At approximately 11:00 AM, we will visit the traditional winery “El Catador” or “Nieto,” both known for producing local wines and pisco. Here, we will learn about the artisanal production process and enjoy a tasting of selected products. Afterward, you will have time for lunch.

16:30 P.M. VISIT TO THE HUACACHINA OASIS AND LAGOON: Huacachina is a natural oasis located approximately five kilometers west of the city of Ica and surrounded by enormous sand dunes. Its emerald-green lagoon is framed by palm trees, eucalyptus trees, and native huarango trees. Here, you will enjoy an approximately 1-hour-and-30-minute buggy ride through the dunes, including an exciting sandboarding experience. At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to the bus station, where you will take an approximately 2-hour evening bus to Nazca. Upon arrival in Nazca, we will transfer you to your accommodation, where you will spend the night.

Following breakfast, we will take you to the local María Reiche Neuman Airport (NZC), a small airfield in the Vista Alegre district primarily used for tourist flights in small planes and helicopters, rather than regular commercial flights. Here, you will take a scenic flight over the Nazca Lines, where you can admire famous geoglyphs such as the Monkey, Hummingbird, and Spider from the air.

After the flight, there will be optional time to visit the Antonini Archaeological Museum or simply explore the town. Around 3:00 p.m., you will board the Cruz del Sur bus to Lima (approximately 6 hours). Once you arrive at the bus station, we will pick you up and transfer you to your selected hotel, where you will spend the night.

The tour begins at 8:00 a.m. with pickup from your hotel and a picturesque ride to the village of Pisac for a visit to its famous craft market. Located 33 kilometers from Cusco, the village of Pisac sits below one of Cusco’s most important archaeological sites, where you will be able to explore an ancient Inca agricultural center and its stunning terraces. In Urubamba, or “The Heart of the Sacred Valley,” you can eat lunch (not included) in the shadow of snow-capped Chicon Mountain and explore the lush, palm-filled Plaza de Armas before continuing with the afternoon portion of the tour.

Next, you will arrive in Ollantaytambo, where villagers still live in ancient stone houses built by the Incas around Hanan Huacaypata Square. You will experience the majesty of one of the Incas’ most impregnable fortresses, as you climb to the scenic Temple of the Sun and admire the sophisticated engineering of the Baths of the Princess.

Finally, you will board the 4:30 p.m. train to Aguas Calientes. After an approximately two-hour journey through the Andes, you will arrive at Aguas Calientes train station, where you will be greeted by our staff and escorted to your selected hotel for the night. In the evening, you will be briefed on the next day’s tour and itinerary.

Today is the day you will visit Machu Picchu

After planning your trip, today you will finally visit Machu Picchu, one of the most impressive wonders of the world.

To begin your visit, from Aguas Calientes you will take the bus that will take you directly to the entrance of the citadel. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes, and the bus ticket is included in our package.

Your entrance time will depend on availability at the time of booking and the circuit assigned on your admission ticket.

We recommend reviewing your entrance time in advance so you can properly plan your arrival at the citadel entrance.

Guided Tour of Machu Picchu

Once inside Machu Picchu, you will enjoy a guided tour lasting approximately 2 hours.

During the tour, you will visit some of the main areas of the citadel, including temples, Inca enclosures, agricultural terraces, and ceremonial areas.

Our guide will share the history of Machu Picchu with you and explain its architecture, culture, and the extraordinary engineering techniques developed by the Incas.

Return to Aguas Calientes

At the end of the visit, you will once again take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

Once in town, you will have free time for lunch and to rest before heading to the train station. Remember to arrive with enough time to board your return train.

Would You Like to Visit Huayna Picchu?

You can also add the hike to Huayna Picchu, provided there is availability and you have purchased the corresponding ticket in advance.

Entrance times are:

Group 1: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Group 2: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

The time of your hike will depend on the ticket purchased and may take place before or after your visit to the citadel.

Important: Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, and Machu Picchu Mountain are different attractions. Entrance to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain requires an additional ticket and is subject to availability.

If you would like to include Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain in your experience, please let us know in advance so we can check ticket availability.

We will start our trip at 4:30 a.m. by picking you up from your hotel in our tourist transportation. We will then travel south from Cusco for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and stop for a buffet breakfast. After breakfast, we will continue for more than an hour to the ATV parking area. Upon arrival, your guide will provide safety instructions before the ride begins.
We will begin our ATV ride toward Rainbow Mountain. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will reach the final parking area. From there, we will walk for approximately 40 minutes to reach the viewpoint. Once at Rainbow Mountain, you will have time to take photographs and videos and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We will then return along the same route to the parking area and board our tourist transportation to the restaurant for a buffet lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 3:00 or 4:00 p.m.

We will pick you up between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. from your accommodation in Cusco. We will then travel by private van to the village of Mollepata in the rich countryside of the Apurimac valley. The scenic trip lasts for approximately 2.5 hours before we arrive at Mollepata, where we normally stop for 30 minutes to have breakfast. Then, we will continue our journey towards Soraypampa, where we will start our trek (4,000 m/12,750 ft). We will start hiking up a moderate slope for one and a half hours until we reach Humantay lake (4,300 m/14,107 ft). From this point, we can soak in the spectacular views of the turquoise waters of Humantay Lake, which lies peacefully at the base of the picturesque Humantay Glacier and is one of the most stunning places in the Cusco Region. We will continue our downhill trek for one and a half hours to Soraypampa located at (4,000 m/12,750 ft), and have lunch. Finally, after an amazing journey, you will travel for approximately 2.5 hours in a van before you arrive back at your accommodation. Your arrival time in Cusco will be approximately 6:00 p.m.

We pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 a.m. to take you to the bus station (Inca Express or Turismo Mer). Both companies provide royal class service with an English-speaking tour guide, a waiter who is ready to assist you with hot and cold drinks on board. During the trip, you will stop to visit some Inca constructions, museums and the Andahuaylillas Church, which is considered to be the Sistine Chapel of South America because of its amazing frescos. Then we stop at the Raqchi Inca ruins, which used to be a religious and resting place for Inca travelers. The next visit is at La Raya, the border between the regions of Cusco and Puno, where the most traditional animals of Peru can be seen, llamas and alpacas. In Pucara, we will visit a museum where it is possible to see some pre-Inca remains. Finally, by 5:30 p.m. we arrive in the city of Puno, where our representative will pick you up to take you to your hotel.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno at 7:30 a.m. and transfer you to the port of Puno. Your adventure begins with a visit to the Uros Floating Islands, home to communities that have lived on Lake Titicaca since pre-Inca times. During the visit, you will learn about their traditional lifestyle and how they use totora reeds to build their islands and homes. At approximately 8:30 a.m., you will arrive at the islands and have the opportunity to interact with local families. You will also have the option to take a ride on a traditional reed boat (10 soles extra). After visiting the Uros Islands, you will continue to Taquile Island, arriving at approximately 11:00 a.m. There, you will have the opportunity to experience local music and traditions, enjoy a scenic walk around the island, and admire spectacular views of Lake Titicaca. You will have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included). You will return to Puno at approximately 3:30 p.m. and be transferred back to your hotel.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to Juliaca Airport, which is about one hour from Puno. Upon arrival at the airport, you will check in at the airline counter, where you will receive your boarding passes. Then, you will take your flight back to Lima, with a travel time of approximately one hour.
