We will pick you up from your hotel and take the north route along the Callejón de Huayhuash, passing through small Andean towns while admiring the beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.
Upon reaching the town of Yungay, we will continue on the northeast route, where the Valley of Llanganuco is located. After registering to enter the Huascarán National Park, we will pass by the stunning lakes of Chinancocha and Orconcocha before arriving at Cebolla Pampa (3,900 meters above sea level), the starting point for our hike.
Huascarán National Park has been a protected area since 1975 and is recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve. The park is managed by the National Service of Protected Natural Areas and spans a total area of 3,400 square kilometers.
We will begin with a one-hour walk through a flat area, enjoying the stunning views of Huascarán Mountain, the highest peak in the Cordillera Blanca. From there, we will ascend along a switchback path until we reach a small lake, where we will enjoy panoramic views of the glacial peaks of Chacraraju, Yanapaccha, Huascarán, Chopicalqui, and the waterfalls in the valley.
The Cordillera Blanca surrounds the Callejón de Huaylas to the east, while the Cordillera Negra lies to the west. The Callejón de Huaylas extends over 150 kilometers, with the Santa River flowing through the valley.
Finally, we will reach Lake 69, located at 4,600 meters above sea level. You will have ample time to take pictures and immerse yourself in the spectacular landscapes, admiring the crystal-clear turquoise waters of this natural jewel.
Afterwards, we will begin our descent along the same route until we reach Cebolla Pampa, where our transport will be waiting to take you
