Peru tour 7 day Picnic

Welcome to Peru!

Upon your arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, an Inti Sun Trek representative will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name.

You will then be transferred comfortably to your selected hotel in Lima.

After check-in, you will have time to rest, take a shower, and recover from your international journey.

You may also explore the surrounding area or enjoy Peru’s renowned cuisine at your hotel or at one of the nearby restaurants.

Meals on this day are not included.

Depending on your arrival time, you will have the option to participate in the Lima City Tour, available daily at approximately 8:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.

During this tour, you can discover the three historical stages of Lima: Ancient, Colonial, and Modern Lima.

The tour includes visits and panoramic views of:

• Huaca Pucllana
• Lima Historic Center
• San Francisco Convent and Catacombs
• San Isidro
• Miraflores
• Central Reserve Bank Museum

At the Central Reserve Bank Museum, you can appreciate a collection of pre-Columbian gold objects, ceramics, and textiles.

Important: The Central Reserve Bank Museum is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

If you prefer not to take the City Tour, you can explore Lima independently.

Recommended options include Miraflores, Kennedy Park, and Larcomar overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Between approximately 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., you will be picked up from your hotel in Lima to begin the journey south toward Paracas.

Upon arrival, continue to El Chaco Pier, where you will board a modern speedboat for the excursion to the Ballestas Islands.

During the boat trip, you can enjoy coastal scenery and observe different species of marine wildlife.

The itinerary mentions possible sightings of:

• Sea lions
• Humboldt penguins
• Flamingos and parihuanas
• Different species of seabirds

During the journey, you will also see the famous Candelabra geoglyph while your guide explains different theories about its origin.

Approximate boat tour duration: 1 hour and 40 minutes.

After the excursion, continue toward Ica.

You will have free time for lunch.

Next, visit the Noelia Chocolate Factory, where you can sample regional products such as chocotejas, alfajores, jams, artisan cookies, filled mousses, and other traditional products.

In the afternoon, continue to the famous Huacachina Oasis.

Here you will enjoy an exciting dune buggy ride and sandboarding experience among the desert dunes.

You will also have free time to walk around the oasis and take photographs.

Before returning to Lima, visit a local winery and taste traditional regional products, including:

• Wine
• Pisco
• Pisco creams
• Macerated spirits
• Mistelas

At approximately 7:00 p.m., begin the return journey to Lima.

Arrival is expected at approximately 10:00 p.m., followed by transfer to your selected hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel in Lima, your host will assist you with the transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco.

During the flight, you can appreciate the dramatic change in scenery as Peru’s Pacific coast gives way to the Andes.

Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, an Inti Sun Trek representative will be waiting in the arrivals area with a sign displaying your name.

You will then be transferred comfortably to your selected hotel.

Cusco is located at approximately 3,399 meters / 11,152 feet above sea level.

After check-in, we recommend taking some time to rest and acclimatize.

You may also enjoy a traditional cup of coca tea at your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the rest of the day exploring Cusco at your own pace.

Suggested activities:

• Explore the Plaza de Armas
• Visit the traditional San Blas neighborhood
• Browse local handicraft shops
• Relax in one of Cusco’s cafés
• Enjoy Peruvian and Andean cuisine at a local restaurant

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Cusco.

Travel in our private van for approximately 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo Train Station.

From Ollantaytambo, board your train to Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Upon arrival, your professional guide will be waiting outside the train station with a sign displaying your name.

Your guide will accompany you to the bus station.

From there, take an approximately 20-minute bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu.

During your guided walking tour, you will explore the archaeological site and have opportunities to take photographs at the stops indicated by your guide.

Because movement through Machu Picchu follows established visitor circuits, visitors should follow the route indicated by the guide.

After completing the guided visit, your guide will provide the necessary information for your return journey.

Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

You will then have time to enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants in town.

Lunch is at your own expense.

Depending on your return train schedule, you should arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes before departure.

The train journey back to Ollantaytambo takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Upon arrival, an Inti Sun Trek team member will be waiting with a sign and will accompany you to your transportation.

Travel approximately another 1.5 hours back to Cusco.

Arrival at your accommodation may be around 10:00 p.m., depending on the assigned train schedule.

Overnight: Cusco.
Lunch: Not included.

At approximately 8:00 a.m., you will be picked up directly from your hotel in Cusco.

Travel by private transportation toward Moray and the Maras Salt Mines.

You will visit both attractions accompanied by a private professional guide, who will explain their history and principal features.

Around midday, continue toward Mountain View for a special Llama Picnic surrounded by nature, Andean landscapes, and llamas.

During your picnic, you can select:

1 appetizer:

• Stuffed causa
• Vegetable salad with fresh fruits
• Pumpkin cream soup

1 main course:

• Lomo saltado with pisco
• Handmade pasta with valley mushrooms
• Trout with Andean tubers and huancaína sauce

1 dessert:

• Tiramisu
• Brownie with ice cream

After the picnic, your private transportation will take you directly back to your hotel in Cusco.

Meal included: Llama Picnic lunch.

The tour begins at approximately 3:30 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.

Travel south from Cusco in tourist transportation.

After approximately 1.5 hours, stop at a restaurant to enjoy a buffet breakfast.

Continue for more than one hour toward the ATV starting area.

Upon arrival, your guide will provide safety instructions and explain how to operate the ATV.

Begin your ATV ride toward Rainbow Mountain.

The ATV section takes approximately 1.5 hours until reaching the final parking area.

From there, begin an approximately 40-minute walk to reach the viewpoint.

At Rainbow Mountain, you will have time to enjoy the scenery and take photographs and videos.

Afterward, return along the same route to the parking area.

Board your tourist transportation and travel back toward the restaurant.

Enjoy a buffet lunch before beginning the return journey to Cusco.

Arrival in Cusco is expected between approximately 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Overnight: Cusco.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., meet your guide in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas to begin the City Tour.

Your first visit will be the famous Cusco Cathedral.

Continue on foot through the historic center toward Qorikancha – the Temple of the Sun.

At Qorikancha, your guide will explain the contrast between Inca stonework and the later colonial architecture constructed over the site.

Afterward, walk along Avenida El Sol and board your transportation for the journey outside the historic center.

Visit Sacsayhuamán, famous for its enormous stone blocks and impressive Inca construction.

Continue with short drives between the remaining archaeological sites:

• Qenqo – known for its carved stone structures and ceremonial spaces
• Puka Pukara – an Inca archaeological complex located above Cusco
• Tambomachay – an archaeological site associated with water and ceremonial fountains

After the final visit, return to Cusco’s historic center.

Later, according to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Cusco Airport for your onward journey.

If your flight departs later in the day, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or exploring nearby areas.

Upon arrival in Lima, connect with your international flight.
