Peru Tour 7 days

Welcome to Peru! We know that international flights can be exhausting, so upon your arrival in Lima, we will make sure your welcome is comfortable and well organized. An Inti Sun Trek representative will be waiting for you at Jorge Chávez International Airport with a sign displaying your name to welcome you and transfer you to your selected hotel.

After check-in, you will have time to rest, take a shower, and recover from your journey. If you prefer, you can also explore the surrounding area or enjoy Peru’s renowned cuisine at your hotel or at one of the nearby restaurants. Meals are not included.

Depending on your arrival time, you will have the option to take the Lima City Tour, available daily at 8:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.

During the tour, you will discover the three historical stages of Lima: Ancient, Colonial, and Modern Lima. Highlights include a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, Lima’s Historic Center, the San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs, as well as the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.

The tour also includes a visit to the Central Reserve Bank Museum, where you can admire an important collection of pre-Columbian gold artifacts, ceramics, and textiles.

Note: The Central Reserve Bank Museum is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

If you decide not to take the City Tour, you can explore Lima on your own. We recommend visiting Miraflores, walking through Kennedy Park, or visiting Larcomar, located overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, a local representative will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name. To make the acclimatization process easier, we will continue directly to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is located at a lower altitude than the city of Cusco.

Along the way, we will visit a traditional textile center, where you can observe llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicuñas, as well as learn about traditional weaving, dyeing, and textile-making techniques inherited from Andean cultures.

Afterward, we will visit the archaeological complex of Pisac, known for its agricultural terraces, Inca enclosures, temples, and ceremonial areas.

We will then descend to the town of Pisac to explore its traditional handicraft market.

We will continue to a restaurant in the Sacred Valley, where you will enjoy lunch prepared with local ingredients. Lunch is included in the program.

Finally, you will be transferred to your selected hotel in the Sacred Valley.

After breakfast, we will begin our tour of some of the main attractions in the Sacred Valley.

We will visit Chinchero, known for its beautiful landscapes, traditional streets, and ancestral textile techniques.

We will then continue to Moray, an impressive complex of circular agricultural terraces believed to have been used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation.

Afterward, we will visit the Maras Salt Mines, consisting of hundreds of salt pools fed by a natural saltwater spring. These terraces have been used for salt production since pre-Inca times and continue to be managed by local families.

We will continue to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, where we will visit its archaeological complex and learn about its impressive Inca architecture, terraces, temples, and stonework.

After the visit, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our representative will meet you and accompany you to your selected hotel.

Today you will visit Machu Picchu, one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in the world.

Bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu

From Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus that will take you directly to the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel.

Duration: Approximately 25 minutes.

Machu Picchu Entrance Time

Your entrance time will depend on availability at the time of booking and the circuit assigned on your admission ticket.

We recommend checking your confirmed entrance time in advance so that you can properly plan your arrival at the citadel entrance.

Guided Tour of Machu Picchu

Once inside Machu Picchu, you will enjoy a guided tour lasting approximately two hours.

During the tour, you will visit different areas of the citadel according to your assigned circuit. Depending on the route, you may see temples, Inca enclosures, agricultural terraces, and ceremonial areas.

Your professional guide will explain the history, architecture, culture, and engineering techniques developed by the Incas.

Return to Aguas Calientes and Cusco

At the end of your visit, you will board the bus back to Aguas Calientes.

You will have free time for lunch and to rest before heading to the train station. Lunch is not included.

Afterward, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to transfer you by tourist transportation to your hotel in Cusco.

Today you will have a free day to rest, explore Cusco independently, go shopping, enjoy local restaurants, or visit some of the city’s most popular attractions.

Your day will begin with an early pickup from your accommodation in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m.

Our tourist transportation will take you south of Cusco to the town of Cusipata. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Upon arrival in Cusipata, we will enjoy breakfast.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey toward Rainbow Mountain for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes and observe local wildlife.

We will begin our adventure with an uphill hike lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with snow-capped mountains and impressive landscapes in the background.

Finally, we will reach the viewpoint, where you can admire the distinctive colors of Rainbow Mountain and the spectacular scenery surrounding it.

After visiting the site and taking photographs, we will return along the same trail on an approximately 1.5-hour hike.

We will then enjoy lunch and begin the return journey to Cusco, arriving between approximately 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.

At the previously coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to Cusco Airport for your onward or return flight.
