The Coronavirus pandemic has changed all of our worlds, and not just in the short-term. Outside of healthcare — where heroes dressed in gowns are battling on the front lines — the industries have been hit like travel agencies. In Inti Sun Trek; we are trying to communicate with all our clients one by one and work with them to reschedule the tours or, as a last step, make the corresponding refund. However, the scale of the problem cannot be ignored; entire nations have been ordered to stay at home, airlines have gone bankrupt, travel companies are laying off massive amounts of workers, and hotels are now hospitals. When things do start to return to “normal”, travel, especially international travel, will look very different.
You may feel bored, frustrated or lonely. You may also be low, worried or anxious, or concerned about your finances, your health or those close to you.
It’s important to remember that it is OK to feel this way and that everyone reacts differently. Remember, this situation is temporary and, for most of us, these feelings will pass. Staying at home may be difficult, but you are helping to protect yourself and others by doing it.
The advice of the government, like guidance on staying at home are things you help you keep on top of your mental wellbeing and cope with how you may feel while staying at home.
We are all dreaming of the moment this nightmare will be over and we can go back to normal daily life, back to our friends and family and back to travelling freely around the world.
