Itinerary

Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:30 a.m. to travel by bus to the beautiful village of Pisaq in the Sacred Valley. In Pisaq, you can visit the extensive artisanal market and the Pisaq ruins. After our first taste of the sacred valley, we will continue our scenic journey to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, where we will stop for lunch. Here you can try some famous Peruvian cuisine. Some of our favorites are: lomo saltado, alpaca steak, aji de gallina, and quinoa soup. After lunch, we will continue the tour to the amazing town of Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo a classic Incan city where the Incan urban construction of narrow streets adjacent to flowing streams is still preserved.
Finally, we will board an afternoon train to Aguas Calientes, a town near the base of Machu Picchu. Here you will have time to explore this town and we will provide you with one night accommodation in a hostel. The hostel can be upgraded to a hotel if you prefer. We will discuss what time you would like to wake up the next morning for your tour to Machu Picchu.

Day 2: Full day tour in Machu Picchu

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hostel/hotel and lead you to the bus station where you will board a bus up to Machu Picchu. At Machu Picchu, you will have a walking tour of this mysterious city, followed by free time for your own exploration of the site. Once you have completed your tour of MachuPicchu, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes before you board the train for your return trip to Cusco.
